About the Course
An 18 day course leading to a Level 3 Certificate in Working as a Close Protection Operative in the Private Security Industry (RQF).
This is the new specification available from the 1st April 2022 with new content and Physical Intervention elements included.
Covers the mandatory units required to achieve this nationally recognised qualification:
Principles of Working as a Close Protection Operative in the Private Security Industry.
Working as a Close Protection Operative in the Private Security Industry.
Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry.
Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry.
Physical Intervention Skills (Close Protection).
Physical Intervention Skills (Door Supervision).
The course is assessed by the learner completing multiple choice examinations, a small workbook, learner portfolio, questions and answers sessions with the tutor, and practical assessments throughout the course.
This course also includes the required Mandatory First Aid qualification needed to apply for this licence.
All elements of this course must be achieved by the learner to enable them to apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for their Close Protection licence.
The First Aid element must be achieved before they commence onto the Close Protection element of the course.
